We just released a new update for the game! 🙂 The patch should now be live in both North America and Europe.
The update adds Japanese text localizations to the game. There were also some general fixes and we added an indicator that allows players to check which levels have already been completed in hard+hardcore, which should make it easier to keep track of their Trophy progression.
A while ago we also fixed online multiplayer compatibility between different regions, allowing European and North American users to play together. We haven’t received any user feedback on this though, so if you have friends who have purchased Trine 2 from a different region’s PlayStation Store than you have, we’d love to hear back from you! 🙂

Hello! I’m from Brazil and my PSN is national, but my friend have an north american account and we can’t play the multiplayer together. Would it be because of the different purchase regions? We can create and join a lobby, but it gives some errors when we try to start the match.
This does sound strange, though it’s hard to say for sure what’s the issue without knowing the exact error messages you receive. The region should not be an issue though.
Here’s a few things that you could try:
– Check your internet connection and router settings
– Please make sure both you and your friend have the newest version of the game by checking if you’ve received the latest update
– Try to create a public game instead of a private one and see if that works
– Try to switch which one of you hosts the game

1. List the error code(s) you receive. Please also mention if you both receive the same error code(s).
2. Please mention if both of you managed to update your game

Hello there Developers. First of all, I was very happy to see a game like this get a recent patch. It really is not common for games like this to even be remembered by its developers. Thank you very much for still caring. Also, I noticed you said “general fixes” which usually is not a good thing for us gamers to hear, since we are not told about specific fixes we are waiting to hear about. For example, I stopped playing this game because there is a glitch with the platinum not popping due to glitches in the game. I would like to know if this has been fixed, because if it has, I will gladly go on to play this. see, this is a hard game to platinum, and if it has glitched trophies, then that is just disencouraging. Waiting to hear from you, and once again: thank you very much.
