I am very disappointed that there is no stereoscopic 3D option in Trine 4. I will be giving this version a miss I’m afraid.

Yes indeed, Trine Enchanted and Trine 2 were looking gorgeous in stereoscopic mode on my 3D monitor with passive glasses. I still remember the snail waking up…
I can’t say for Trine 3, I stopped playing on PC and I’ll play the 4th on Switch. And I don’t think VR could be an option on a side-scroller game.

Oh my God, I can’t believe these news avoided me! Guys, put your hearts in this game, don’t listen to the haters (although listen to the critics of the 3rd game), and part 4 will be awesome. Oh, and put some money into the marketing, a lot of people simply doesn’t know about Trine, but there is a great demand for old school-but-still-new style platformers.

Will this be a digital release only?
Currently there is nothing to announce in this regard, but we will definitely inform when we know something.
T3 wasn’t a great game for sure but you guys did so well in the past, I know that you will learn for your mistakes and make the fourth game even better.

will this be in 3d too like trine 3? I really enjoyed the verticality and more open movement of a 3d platfprmer. Maybe you could make it open wordlish areas or small sandboxes?

Plz tell me this is going to be online multiplayer, and you have plans to make trine 3 mutiplayer, I played trine 3 like half a mission but its not the same without friends ;( i wish to complete this game with my friends but am unable to. it will also bring in more players, plz

Trine 3: The Artifacts didn’t have it on PlayStation 4 due to some trouble, which we unfortunately can’t change. Sorry about this!
Also if you have PlayStation Plus note that you can still play Trine 3 and other offline games together with a friend via the Share Play feature .
Wow, I just learned the news and I am excited!
I’d love the game to be in 2D, but if you guys have erradicated some probles with 3D then i’ll buy it anyway. I just love your games and the magic within them. I learned of Trine 1 when only 9 years old, now I am 19 and still love them!!! I hope that the game will be released not only on Nintendo Switch (which I dont have), but on PC windows too…

I really hope the 4’th is going to be like the first and 2’nd game. The thrid on was barebone compared to the first to with skills and so on and it was clunky to play the thrid game. I really have high hopes for the 4’th one if it’s shipped.

Might be difficult as the game seems to be quite demanding, but stay tuned. We’ll know more later, and can’t really comment much at the moment.

Ari Pulkkinen has done the music for Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, but we also have our own in-house audio team who handles the sounds in general. 🙂
I got Trine 1, 2 and 3 on my Mac, but it seems to be there will not be Trine 4 for me, too bad guys…
Unfortunately Mac version isn’t planned at the moment. We still hope that you will be able to join the game on some other platform.
Will BOTH the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions run in 4k? Are there any notable differences?
Can’t confirm 4k yet, more details closer to release. There shouldn’t be huge differences between PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, but depending on their hardware this might change when Trine 4 has been optimized.

Currently there are no plans to add stereoscopic 3D support for Trine 4, sorry! I can forward the request, but I can’t promise it will be added.
