Have you already tried out the editors for Trine Enchanted Edition and Trine 2? All Steam owners of the games received the editors for free a while ago, so if you own the games on Steam, then give them a try! 🙂 Check out our Wiki to learn how to get started.
Our Wiki is an open Wiki, so feel free to check out what others have learned there and to also contribute with your own findings – any new information could help others to make awesome maps!
Also check out these awesome tutorial videos Steam user Netzia posted to the Steam Community. So far he has already made three videos that surely will help to get started. 🙂
The first tutorial “Trine Enchanted Edition editor basics” from Juhana Lankinen on Vimeo.
Click here for part 2 and part 3!
Also try out the awesome custom maps by other users for Trine 2! So far we’ve played and enjoyed all of them and we’re super excited to see what else you’ll come up with. There’s no user-made content for Trine Enchanted Edition yet, but there are a few model levels you can play with. Who will be the first to make a map for Trine Enchanted Edition? 😉
What do you think?

I just finished the fourth one! This one’s about AI, so some people might consider it a bit more interesting than the last one, which was about hinges… :]

Thanks for posting! These are really helpful 🙂
hi, I’m pretty new to Trine editor v3, and i’m having serious issues with starting a map, i cant understand basic things like where to find the objects library to place items in the map. i think i went through the whole interface and found literally nothing that can be placed inside the map, maybe i’m doing it wrong. another thing, if i try open example maps and copy paste curtain objects they stop acting as their originals, for exp. the spikes movable ledge just keeps copying without the joins connected to the supporting leading “pipes” and keeps falling down when i start the level even if i copy the joints they don’t act the same as the original and don’t snap together.
but i think my biggest issue is having multiple errors in my map which i have no clue or idea of where to begin to look for them, just a lot of random letters and numbers.
so far i don’t think the editor is much of a user friendly app, or i just hope there will be better tutorials in the future because these 3 videos are literally the ONLY vids i could find about this editor, and he jumps from this to talking about AI logic on his 2nd or 3rd video and i’m still struggling with placing camera or how to re-size the view snap re-positioning point. sorry if this sounds like lots of complaining, i just want to make some maps and this editor frustrates me. maybe its because i know nothing in programming.
yeah, i know the feeling, i wish they made the editor more novice user friendly, and its very buggy, i keep getting crashes when trying to re-size some stuff
