We wanted something special with the start up screen in Trine 2, so we made it playable.
Nice right? Well it also changes depending on when you play the game. Night scene at wee hours and day during school and work.
So check out the video about how it was created and try it out in the game.

It’s that kind of little extra detail that makes Frozenbyte games so amazing! You are the envy of every Indie I know!
Thanks! There’s also a secret, “deeper” meaning with the playable title screen – to teach the controls of the game “voluntarily” to the player. 🙂 But indeed it serves many purposes, as the live in-game stuff is also the most beautiful stuff we have.
I really like those little extra things. Although you probably get to know the controls during the tutorial as well, it’s nice to have your own small little playground in the menu 😀
Nice job!
Indeed, first level also includes tutorial which should teach everything player needs 🙂
It’s truly astonishing the amount of detail that goes into every game of Frozenbyte’s! I’m a 13-year-old with a great design taste (not to sound conceited), and it’s impossible to see any bad parts of Trine 2. (or Trine, for that matter!), I truly congratulate everyone who was a part of development, and I have long-since pre-ordered the game, and can’t wait for the day I can play it for real!
All respect and admiration,
Noah B.
Thank you! 😀
You guys are the greatest.
It’s just like those “interactive DVD-menus”… just way, WAY better.
