Newest patch vs xbox 360 controller for windows

The problem:
I was using the dvd version of the game and everything worked fine with the xbox 360 controller until i installed the newest patch ( v.1.07 )

So, installed the patch and plugged in my controller and tried to start playing only to notice that i couldnt get the controller to work.. i went to the "controller settings" where it said in PL1 - Mouse and keyboard and in PL2 and PL3 - Not enough controllers. Obviously i wasnt able to change it for any of those..

Short version of this problem:
Im using xbox 360 controller for windows and i installed the patch ( v.1.07 ) = Trine doesnt find the controller anymore.

Alright... well i did absolutely nothing and now the controller is found.... it could be that i didnt have the controller plugged in before i started the game.. maybe thats it.. i dont know
