Yes, it is true. Not only is Trine 2 finally available in the Steam store for pre-order, but if you buy now you also get access to the beta.
So basically the tutorial stages and the first stage, complete with online multiplayer goodness available right now. Nice.
We here at Frozenbyte will also be joining in for online sessions in the coming weeks and will let you guys now about that on our twitter account.
So be sure to follow us there also if you want in on the action with the developers.

If I pre-order now, from Steam (it’s only available for Windows and Mac), I’ll get also Linux version when it is ready? Or I need to re-buy when the Linux version is out?
I’m only interested to Linux version, because I don’t have Windows or Mac.

Linux version will be out next year and it will not be part of this pre-order since Steam doesn’t carry Linux products. Sorry for that.
This is PC only, for now, but the full version on Steam will be also Mac compatible (plus with cross platform multiplayer).
The console versions are thus far on schedule to be released simultaneously with the PC/Mac versions.
So if everything goes well, all versions (except Linux) out in December 2011.
