Q: How many people work at Frozenbyte?

This question has come up once in a while and it’s is actually sort of difficult to answer since we have such a changing atmosphere here now that we are close to releasing Splot and Trine 2 (plus moving to a new office eventually). To clarify things we decided to check the situation, count some heads and actually get the stats right.

So here it is in all its simplicity.

A: 39 employees

And here put a little more elaborately..

Gender
male: 32
female: 7

Position
Trine 2 programming: 10
Trine 2 art/content: 13
Splot team: 6
Management: 3
Production/marketing/QA/cleaning/cooking: 7

At Frozenbyte
More than 5 years: 7 (all of which have actually been more than 7 years)
Less than 5 years: 32

First language
Finnish: 36
English: 1
Swedish: 1
Russian: 1

Preferred Drink in The Morning
Coffee: 34
Tea: 5

  2. @jibay Oh man, and all this time I thought I was the Marketing “Guy”… sheez, got some introspection to conduct.

  3. Jibay: But what about this:

    female: 7

    At Frozenbyte
More than 5 years: 7 (all of which have actually been more than 7 years)

    ;)

    Now that’s a mystery!

  4. 39 is actually quite a bit. I guess you guys are now about the same size as Remedy.

Apropos, is Mikko Rautalahti the new guy who writes Trine 2 story and dialogue and whatnot?

  6. @Olli Noup, no Mikko here. Pretty sure he is still at Remedy and as many of us, I’m looking forward to seeing the new “Alan Wake” takes shape.

Our writer for story, dialogue and whatnot is a young and talented lyricist that goes by the name of Maija. She has been working with T2 for over a year now.
